Perfect Creations was born from a simple idea: that the most meaningful moments deserve to be celebrated in extraordinary ways. It began in 2014, sitting on a red beanbag on Lee’s bedroom floor. We’d only been together a few months, but we were already dreaming about our future. Back then, our responsibilities were simple; Becki had her cats and Lee had his Toyota Celica. (Yes, apparently that counts!) But we weren’t ready to run a business.

Fast forward two years: we’d moved in together, travelled, and got engaged in Lake Garda, Italy. Planning our wedding was exciting, but it was also overwhelming. We knew exactly how we wanted everything to look and feel, but there was a real lack of originality on the market; primarily just stock designs with a space to enter names and dates. Everything we found felt the same; standard, cookie-cutter designs that didn’t reflect who we were or the story we wanted to tell. It was frustrating and disheartening; we wanted something different, something personal, something our guests would have never seen before but it just didn’t exist. Between juggling full-time jobs and planning the wedding, we didn’t have the luxury of spending hours scrolling for décor that only seemed to exist in our imaginations.

That’s when we realised we didn’t have to settle. Between the two of us, we had everything we needed to bring our vision to life. Our 2014 dream could now be a reality - Becki had the creative ideas and Lee had the technical know-how to make those ideas a reality. Together, we started designing and crafting our own décor, pieces that weren’t just beautiful, but deeply personal and meaningful. The first time we saw one of our ‘Save The Date’ invites come to life, it was like a weight had been lifted. The stress of planning melted away, replaced by a sense of joy, pride and excitement. We’d truly complemented each other combining our individual skills to form something far greater than the sum of its parts.

 

Our wedding wasn’t just a day, it was a reflection of us. Every detail told a part of our story; our style, our humour, our journey; the life we've built and the future that lay before us. We’ve never felt so overcome by emotion watching our friends and family taking pictures, pointing things out to one another so they weren’t missed and asking if they could take things home with them. Even people’s comments included 'the best wedding we've ever been to,' and 'the more I looked, the more little hints of the two of you I saw.' That feedback meant everything. It confirmed what we’d hoped: that personal touches matter. That creativity stands out. That no one-size-fits-all solution will ever replace something made with intention. We knew we were onto something special - a spark of something bigger. And we were, because that spark became Perfect Creations.

We began to see creativity as more than just a skill, it was a way to connect, to inspire, and to make moments unforgettable.  It made us believe that we could take our ideas and turn them into something extraordinary, not just for ourselves, but for anyone who wanted to celebrate life’s most meaningful moments. It wasn’t just about the end result, it was about the journey of creating together. Every piece we made felt like a reflection of our partnership, our creativity, and our belief in what was possible. What started as a way to save time and stress for our own wedding turned into something much bigger. For the first time, we realised that we weren’t just planning a wedding—we were creating something entirely unique. We started to see that if we could create something so personal and meaningful for ourselves, we could do the same for others. It wasn’t just about décor—it was about telling stories, creating memories, and making people feel seen and celebrated. Like the memorial book we created for someone grieving a loved one they’d known for over 55 years. Reading through heartfelt memories shared by others, they discovered stories they’d never heard before — each one a reminder of how deeply their loved one was cherished and why they were remembered with such affection. Or the Father’s Day plaque we crafted with a subtle motor racing theme — so personal and sentimental that its recipient told us it would be the one thing they’d take with them in an emergency. Those are the moments that remind us why we do what we do: to create pieces that don’t just look beautiful, but feel deeply personal and truly treasured.
 

Perfect Creations has grown into a thriving business that continues to bring us joy every single day. Starting out on our dining room table, we felt like we'd really made it big when we had to convert our small shed in the garden; yet here we are today, having outgrown the shed and moving to a full workshop. But it’s become more than just a business. It’s a creative partnership rooted in passion, purpose, and a shared belief that the most meaningful moments deserve to be celebrated in exceptional ways. From personalised event styling to bespoke home décor, our vision remains the same: to design and craft products that feel just as special as the people they’re made for. The journey so far has been incredible but we’re only just getting started. We’ve got exciting new collections, creative collaborations, and unforgettable events on the horizon and we’re beyond excited for what comes next.
